Marc
Lowrance: Hello, wrestling fans, and WELCOME TO NIGHTMARE!!!
*thunderous pop
from the fans*
Terry Michaels: What the hell?
[Suddenly the lights in the arena go completely dark, as the fans pop
again. A
voice is heard over the loudspeakers in the arena. Upon further
realization,
the voice can be recognized as pauper-turned voiceover prince, Ted
Williams.]
Ted Williams: Nineteen ninety nine, Two thousand.
[The ever-so-familiarly-forgotten intro to Kid Rock’s “American Badass”
begins
to play over the PA system next.]
Yeah
And I set up and tore down this stage with my own two hands
We've traveled this land packed tight in minivans
And all this for the fans, girls, money, and fame
I played their game
Rick Miller: Say what you will about this kid, but he just took Ray
Masters to
the limit here at Winter Meltdown
And as they scream my name
I will show no shame
Rick Miller: And Jason Jousma has defeated Dan Benson for the IWA
Northern
title!!!
I live and die for this
And if I come off soft
Then chew on this
Are You Scared?
[Silence again.]
Ted Williams: Two Thousand Two
[The bridge of U2’s “Discotheque” begins to play through the arena.]
Let go
Let go
Oh oh oh
Discotheque
(Come on, come on)
NWF Commentator: Sudden Impact have captured the tag team titles for
the second
time here tonight!!!
Ted Williams: Two Thousand Five
[The intro to The Crystal Method’s “Trip Like I do” loops for a few
minutes, as
we here sound bytes from the last era of the WCCW.]
Warner: We have a new Texas Champion! And Jousma just beat the guy at
the top
of the WWC to do it!
Pediceno: On this night in the BWA, I think Bell just passed the torch
to his
successor. We have a new Southwest Champion folks!
[Silence again.]
Ted Williams: Two-thousand Ten.
[“Mosh” By Eminem is heard over the loudspeaker now, as we hear more
commentary
bytes.]
Warner: AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! IT'S JOUSMA!!!! HOLY FUCK!!!!
Edgebrook: This evening a man came to the garden, and did everything he
said he
would. Not only is he walking out of here the winner of the Lou Thesz
tournament, but in one night he beat four of the best that this
business has,
to capture the National Wrestling Alliance World Heavyweight
Championship!
[The fanfare of the background noise from the soundbytes and the music
playing
just comes to an abrupt stop, as the darkened arena is filled with
silence
again. The silence this time is not broken for an extended period of
time.
About 45 seconds later, we here the voice of Ted Williams again.]
Two Thousand Eleven. Perseverance for over a decade, ‘The Rising Star’
Jay
Jousma.
[The opening bass lines to Rev Theory’s “Justice begin to pipe into the
arena
at this point. The lights slowly begin to come back on.]
I want justice I want you overthrown
I want justice
I want to stand alone
BOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
[A huge pyro display of white light is set off at the entranceway,
leaving a
cloud of smoke.]
So take all you can from an open hand
The hope of the dying
To save your disease
You're an empty breed
Your love of this lifetime
[The smoke clears, and we see (duh) “The Rising Star” Jay Jousma,
standing in
the entranceway to a gigantic pop, with his back to the ring, raising
his right
arm in the air. The camera zooms in to get a view of the WCCW “stamp”
tattoo
across his shoulderblades reminiscent of the old NWA banner logo before
the
redesign. He turns around, and for the first time in awhile, we see a
smile on
his face as he begins walking down to ringside.]
So you're somebody who brags about their innocence
While playing on the ignorant storm
Now I'm just here to criticize the lies, the lies, the lies
I want justice, I want you overthrown
I want courage I want to stand alone
I want your arrogance and I want your pain
I want your everything and I want your head
Lowrance: Terry, this is huge!
Michaels: It’s just like this guy to make a big entrance fresh out of
rehab. Go
figure.
[Jay gets up on the turnbuckle from outside of the ring, and raises his
arm in
the air, facing the crowd. He stands there for a minute, surveying the
audience.]
So cry if you feel
That the tears you shed will make you feel better
See I'm just critical of living like a criminal
While you become a royalty hiding
I wonder how you'll justify the lies, the lies, the lies
[Jay climbs down the turnbuckle and gets into the ring. He reaches to
Bill
Smith for a microphone, and then makes his way to the center of the
ring. The
music fades out, and the fans are still going crazy. Jay, still smiling
from
ear to ear waits for them to quiet down before putting the microphone
to his
face. The fans quiet down for the most part, but some are still
chanting his name.]
Jousma: Well, I had to outdo that other clown from Monday night, it
just
wouldn’tve been right for me, the new me to set foot in this ring if I
didn’t!
[Cheap comedic pop.]
Jousma: In all seriousness though, I know you guys watch the news, or
at least
that bastard form of the news known as TMZ that likes to follow me
around
sometimes. I just want to let you all know that I wasn’t about to hide
anything
from anyone. Once you’re under the microscope of the public eye, some
secrets
can’t be kept anyways. I mean, unless you’re Anderson Cooper that is…
[A wry smartass expression comes onto Jousma’s face as the audience
erupts in a
roar of laughter.]
Jousma: So things happen, and old habits come back to bite you in the
ass
whether you like them to or not. For that, and for my irresponsibility
during
my recovery from ankle surgery and after, I apologize to all of you, my
fans.
Also, I would like to apologize to Justin Dawes. After the way things
went down
the last time you guys saw me on Nightmare, well, I don’t know if he’ll
ever be
the same again, and it’s my fault, and that’s something I’ve been
living with
since our match. But life goes on, and that’s something I realized,
albeit at
his expense, but if it weren’t for him, and the injury he sustained at
my
hands, maybe I wouldn’tve realized that I needed to get my shit
together.
[Jay lowers his head a little, and leans against one of the
turnbuckles.]
Jousma: So all in all, rehab was a good thing for me. As you may have
heard on
my way out here, I uh, made a friend or two. Ted, if you’re watching
thanks man
you did an awesome job. I also realized where I lost my focus I guess,
and I
remembered why I decided to put the boots on again last year, and why I
decided
to get this tattoo across my shoulders. I’ve said it before, and I’ll
say it
again, hell, excuse me if I’m getting a little emotional here but it is
what it
is.
[Jousma wipes the onset of tears from his eyes, and his voice sounds as
if he
is whimpering a little.]
Jousma: I came home last week Friday to find a note from my wife, that
her and
my son left and went back to Japan, again. This time, they aren’t
coming back,
and she never wants me to meet my unborn daughter. In the note she
called me
many things, like wreckless, irresponsible, and unloving. I’m human,
nobody’s
perfect, I’ll be the first to admit it, but damnit when it comes to my
family I
would do anything for them.
[He stops for a moment to regain his composure.]
Jousma: This of course brought me back to a common theme that I have
been
dealing with at different points throughout my career. As I said, I’ve
realized
why I am here. I can try and play the role of Danny Tanner all I want,
but it’s
just not me, and it never will be. I’m not a family man, and whenever I
think I
am, I wind up doing something to fuck it up beyond repair. I’ve burned
so many
bridges, and strained so many relationships throughout my life, that I
just
don’t know where to begin. My cousin, who most of you know as Chris
Fury,
refuses to even speak to me on civil terms. Hell, he was the reason I
was
shelved for a few months recently, that bastard hates me just that
much. All I
tried to do was show him what right and wrong was, and help him open
his eyes
about that creep Saddler, but he refused to listen to me, because for
most of
our lives, I have just been the egomaniacal self-absorbed asshole.
[Jay shakes his head a little, and wipes his eyes again, but looks as
if he has
just snapped out of the weepy emotional crap.]
Jousma: But as I was at that facility, I realized the type of person I
was
becoming, and I saw right before my very eyes, the attitude I was
projecting,
and saw that I was straining yet another relationship in my life,
something I
couldn’t let go, or turn myself away from. All of you sitting out there
that
come to arenas like this throughout the region, and throughout the
country,
that come here to see me and give me support.
[A loud applause makes its way through the arena.]
Jousma: I’ve realized, that no matter what fucked up choices I have
made in
life, there are some people I will strive never to alienate in my life,
and
that is all of you, my fans. I’ll admit, realistically speaking, I was
pissed
when Batee failed to grant me my rematch for the title at
Wrestleclassic, but
it’s over and done now. However, I came pretty close to going on
youtube and
ripping him a new ass, ripping the state of the NWA a new ass, and
taking it
out on my fans by doing things when I came to work that you wouldn’t
appreciate. Then, then I got ahold of myself. As I said, I remembered
why I put
the boots back on and got into the ring last year. I realized that each
and
every one of you are the best family that anyone can ask for! And I’ve
realized
that the WCCW cannot be without “The Rising Star”! I love this company,
I love
this business, and I love all of my fans! And damnitall, I strive to be
the
best at what I do, and I do it for all of you out there watching!
[Another heartwarming pop from the fans.]
Jousma: I guess, like most people I can’t handle two marriages. Some
will not
agree with me, but my marriage to the WCCW has to take precedence after
awhile.
At least for now. I was driving full speed ahead with the biggest
momentum
shift of my career before I got hurt, and I’ll have you know right now,
I’m
going to pick that momentum right back up, and I hope Aaron Shepherd
knows what
I’m talking about.
[Jousma stares into the camera that is positioned on the ring apron.]
Jousma: Shepherd, there is no DWA. Terence is not here, so don’t even
try to
rep it. Do you know what that means for us? Oh yeah, we’re not friends.
I don’t
have to sit here and pretend that I like you, and I sure as hell don’t
have to
listen to your arrogant bullshit, and sit back and watch as another
asshole
tries to replicate me. I’ll tell you right now, your day in the sun is
over
A-List. The XOW days are over, this is the WCCW now pal, and it sure as
hell
isn’t your springboard back to your previous days of glory in the NWA.
What was
the only reason you were remotely relevant back in 2008, to the point
where you
had to be the final nail in the coffin for a then-dieing NWA? Oh yeah,
I was in
Japan doing my thing, I wasn’t here putting you in your place sooner,
and
putting asses in seats, something you have no idea how to do. Then you
decided
you wanted to go and do the commercial deals with some liquor companies
in the
Far East. Yeah I remember, and I saw them, and you’re still a jackass.
[Jousma motions for the cameraman to move down to his feet, to show off
a pair
of special edition Air Force 1s.]
Jousma: You were just a punk liquor bitch. As you can see, if you
remember
seeing my smiling face all over billboards and TV, I had a major deal
with a
little athletic company over there, and I still do. But that’s all
water under
the bridge Aaron. We can sit here all day and figuratively compare dick
sizes,
but Eric Bruce wouldn’t be here to try and say that he’s the winner no
matter
what when nobody cares. The fact of the matter is, I’m the number-one
contender
for the Southwest title, and sooner or later dude, one of these days,
we’re
going to have to face off for that belt. Although, it’s kinda owed to
me. I
never lost it the last time I had it! But, I digress, Shep, you haven’t
had a
real challenger yet. I’ll be real with ya, if it wasn’t for me back at
Battlecade, you know as well as I know that Chris would’ve beaten the
living
shit outta you and become Southwest champ again. So for that, you are
welcome,
and that is probably the nicest thing I will ever do to you if I have
anything
to say about it. So have fun in your match of irrelevance tonight
against New
Tradition 2000 “The Band is Back Together” member, “The Whole Fucking
Rhino”
Lake Storm. A word of advice Aaron, watch out for the rest of the
losers in the
ragtag shell of a group that New Tradition used to be, because when we
do
finally settle the score, without anybody trying to crash the party as
they
have before, I want you to be fresh, so you don’t have any excuses.
Shepherd,
I’ll say this once, as it is cliché and it’s been done before,
but you’re time
is running out. Beware the Ides of March, Aaron. Because on that day,
exactly
one year after I came out of retirement, I’m gonna win MY belt back,
and
Justice will be served.
[Jousma stares into the camera, as “Justice” blares over the pa again.
Cut to

chairs and

Davidson:
You two are a disgrace to
this business just like your father. We took him out and flew down here
to
finish you off.
Marcus:
WCCW look at your number one
contenders now. They are weak and don’t deserve to hold the tag team
gold. Let
the best team in the BACW come over and show you just how to get things
done.

and Davidson go back to
viscously stomping at Mike and Pete Turner. King and Barnes take the

some friends with me. Miami’s Most Wanted is willing to compete cross
brand to
show everyone they are the best Tag Team in this industry. I am only
here to
make sure that The Uprisings star athletes do not get hurt.
Barnes:
I am here to make sure that
you all understand the seriousness of a team competing for the BACW and
WCCW
they are going to not only show their strength they will show the
courage of
being able to handle multiple threats times two. That is what it takes
to be a
member of The Uprising.
Marc
Lowrance: Are these guys
serious?
Terry
Michaels: Where is WCCW
security? Why are they being allowed to occupy our ring?
[King
and Barnes hand the
microphones back to Michael Davidson and Joshua Marcus.]
Marcus:
Don’t let my size fool you
because I am like dynamite and I will cause destruction wherever I am.
WCCW we
are here what are you going to do to get rid of us. Your security isn’t
going
to help you out of this situation they are too busy trying to catch
some wild
hogs backstage.
Marc
Lowrance: Wild hogs?
Terry
Michaels: Do they seriously
want us to believe they let wild hogs free in the backstage arena.
[King
and Barnes lean against the
ropes as Davidson and Marcus circle the ring.]
Davidson:
In fact I would like to
see the WCCW champions out here right now.
Marcus:
The Movement wants you all
to believe they are the champions, but really they have had no
challengers that
had enough talent, but if you guys won’t come out here then we will
have to
come find you.
