[The beat continues as the WCCW Nightmare logo blasts on the screen dripping blood. The camera pans the arena as you see it's jam packed with fans and the pyro goes off. The camera pans around to the announce table where Marc and Terry are ready to start the show.]

Marc Lowrance: Ladies and gentlemen, I am so excited for everything we have to look forward to tonight! As always WCCW delivers a card that promises to give the fans great wrestling!

Terry Michaels: Seems to be our legacy!

[The lights drop to black.]

Michaels: What is this?

[Music starts to fade up slowly, a 70’s soul track starts to play.]

Am I a good man? Or am I a fool?

[The bass kicks as white light floods the arena, as “Purified Thoughts” by Ghostface Killah plays.]

Take my hands out my pockets, you can see my thumbs
Both of them turned green, from countin the ones
Memorized by the glory, word life
Cut of n*ggas who killed Bill but couldn’t do nothin for me

Lowrance: Well we know this music!

Michaels: This should be interesting, here comes a man defeated at nearly every corner of his career as of late.

Lowrance: He lost the opportunity at being the first NWA North American Champion and just last Nightmare he lost his WCCW Heavyweight Title to Jason Jousma. Devastating.

[Aaron Shepherd steps out through the curtain as the fans cheer, clearly dressed in street clothes, Shepherd begins walking down the ramp.]

Michaels: He seems like he’s not here to screw around.

Lowrance: Certainly not, there’s a certain purpose to this former champions step.

[Shepherd slides in the ring as the music fades and the lights rise, he grabs a microphone.]

Shepherd: Ladies and gentlemen...I had to come out here tonight to discuss a few things. As you notice, my shoulder is not donned with the belt that has been a constant for me over the past several months.

[The crowd boos.]

Shepherd: Thank you, thank you very much for your support, but all the cheers in the world won’t put that title belt back on my shoulders. You see, in WCCW I’ve been put at a disadvantage, I’ve had a target on me since I walked in here, and ever since I claimed the WCCW Heavyweight Title, I’ve been particularly criticized. Every step I took, every decision I made was looked at under a microscope by every person, and not you, not you loyal fans, but the wrestlers of the WCCW and the NWA.

[He paces around the ring for a moment.]

Shepherd: It is as if my entire career before coming here didn’t exist, and while I admit, in my transformation from XOW to WCCW I did attempt to wipe the slate clean, I didn’t mean to do so to diminish the importance of my victories, I meant it more as a way to refresh my faith in myself as well as the faith you fans have for me. However, people here made it out like I was a nobody, someone who had nothing to offer, and at this very moment I have literally nothing to show my level of skill and precision in the ring. People like Jason Jousma, Terrence Harris, The Watcher, Lake Storm and a handful of others have gone out of their way to point out that my victories in WCCW were flukes and that my career up until this point was a joke.

[He stops and looks up at the camera.]

Shepherd: I stand here alone, I have stood in WCCW alone aside from one day, one instance in which I felt that I had allies. Two men that have admitted to me both verbally and through their actions that they respect me. And somewhat ironically, both of those men hold the two titles that I want the most at this particular moment in time. Terrence Harris and Jason Jousma, both of you should consider yourself lucky. You two should be proud of yourselves for your achievements! You have dethroned Aaron Shepherd and torn his ego to shreds in the process, taking an ally, a fellow dude with attitude and throwing him under the bus, pretending as if our alliance never happened. But I know deep down you two respect me, you two appreciate my work here in WCCW and I would like to formally let you and the world know that there are no hard feelings.

Michaels: No hard feelings? For what?

Shepherd: I have let you fans down as of late, I have let the words of others greatly affect my performance as an individual. I have let a loose alliance that I took too seriously dictate how safe I felt in a locker room of people against me. So while there are no hard feelings, I would like to declare to you two, Dudes With Attitude. It’s time to shit or get off the pot. You guys hold the belts, and you both know I am a worth partner, you know what we can do as a team, not only here in WCCW but in the NWA. You both have called me names, both of you referred to me several times as a paper champion, but I know you will look beyond that. Because there will be no doubting my presence when I stand beside the person or people that I truly trust, the one or many people that inspire me to perform to my greatest ability. Gentlemen, you have chosen your side, you know what I am capable of and I would like to say, I look forward to conducting business with you again.

[Shepherd drops the mic, the fans seem perplexed, but cheer for Shepherd.]

Lowrance: Did Shepherd just imply a Dudes With Attitude reunion?

Michaels: Sounds like it.

Lowrance: Can all three of these men get along? With their egos as inflated as they have become over the past few months?

Michaels: I guess only time will tell.

[We open up to the office of Jon Darkstar, he is sitting at his desk. Across from him stands “The Rising Star” Jay Jousma, with the WCCW Southwest title resting over his right shoulder, and the YLW ALPHA title resting on his left. He has a pair of aviator sunglasses on, black basketball shorts, and a white t-shirt.]

JD: Take a seat, Jay.

[Jay makes his way over to a chair, and sits down in front of The Deadman.]

JD: Now, you and I go back a long way, but I must say… I’m rather concerned with your actions as of late.

JJ: If this is about what you saw yesterday, I don’t want to hear it. The whole flight here this morning I was chewed out by Summit. I’ve really had enough, I’m here for work and that’s all there is to it.

JD: Jay, I don’t think you’re taking this as seriously as you perhaps should, this is the first round of the Pagano Cup. This is what WCCW is based upon yearly. You’re here tonight to honor Steve Pagano, and make sure that the match you put on would make him proud.

JJ: I’m here to basically effortlessly go over your mediocre cousin. How is that supposed to honor anybody?

[Darkstar becomes irate at that last shot, and gets in the face of Jousma, standing over him.]

JD: Look Jay, I don’t care who you are, I’m really not liking your attitude right now. You best be changing things by the time you get out to that ring, you’re setting a bad example for everyone in the promotion right now.

JJ: And you’re the one who keeps booking this shit. I’m surprised you didn’t book me against Lake again for the umpteenth time, better yet, why didn’t you bring in Sebastian Ocean for the tournament? I’m sure he’d make a huge splash in the first few rounds, and then disappear again. For someone who wants to carry on the greatness that was Steve Pagano’s regime here in World Class, you really need to get your shit together, I’m outta here, I have a match I need to prepare for…

[With that, Jousma leaves Darkstar’s office, as Jon stands in place, his eyes practically red with anger, his fists clenching fiercely. He reaches for his phone, and dials before putting it up to his ear.]

JD: Yeah, David… my office please. We need to make some changes….

Jonathan Darkstar vs. Jason Jousma

I want justice, I want you overthrown
I want justice, I want to stand alone

BOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[A huge pyro display of white light is set off at the entranceway, leaving a cloud of smoke.]

So take all you can from an open hand
The hope of the dying
To save your disease
You're an empty breed
Your love of this lifetime

He has the Young Lion’s Wrestling Alpha Title on his waist, and the WCCW Southwest Title over his shoulder. He wears a white and red pair of basketball shorts, and a pair of white Air Force One’s as ring attire. He acknowledges the ovation that he gets from the audience, and looks up at a Steve Pagano memorial banner, pointing to it.]

Lowrance: I don’t know what has been going on with “The Rising Star” over the past few days, but he does appear to be ready for action here tonight.

Michaels: What about that display in Darkstar’s office earlier? This is not the time or place…

So you're somebody who brags about their innocence
While playing on the ignorant storm
Now I'm just here to criticize the lies, the lies, the lies
I want justice, I want you overthrown

[As he walks down to the ring, Jousma is apparently shaking cobwebs out as much as he can, yet still looks focused.]

I want courage I want to stand alone
I want your arrogance and I want your pain
I want your everything and I want your head

[Jay gets up on the turnbuckle from outside of the ring, and raises his arms in the air, facing the crowd, and raising up the Southwest title with his left hand.. He stands there for a minute, surveying the audience.]

So cry if you feel
That the tears you shed will make you feel better
See I'm just critical of living like a criminal
While you become a royalty hiding
I wonder how you'll justify the lies, the lies, the lies

Terry Michaels - This match is over!

Bob Bradley - The winner of this match, Jonathan Darkstar!!!

Lowrance: Well folks, tonight has been a historic and memorable opening evening to the 2011 Pagano Cup.

Michaels: The Deadman made his in-ring return, and we’ve not seen it taken to Jay Jousma this much in a matchup in years, perhaps possibly never in his time here in WCCW.

Lowrance: Although Darkstar offensively dominated “The Rising Star”, he still wouldn’t quit until he had nothing left in the tank. Despite whatever Jay’s been going through, he still showed up to work tonight.

[The Deadman sees Jay pulling himself up on the ropes slowly, and heads back towards the ring. He slides in through the bottom rope, and assists Jousma with the rise back to his feet. Jay looks up at The Deadman, and nods his head in his direction, while still leaning on the ropes. A few inaudible words are exchanged between the two, and then Jousma then raises Darkstar’s hand in the air as the victor, to a huge pop from the crowd. They then shake hands, and Darkstar helps Jousma to the back.]

Lowrance: Despite what we may have seen earlier tonight here, a great display of class and sportsmanship from both sides is being displayed here tonight as we honor Steve Pagano. But the question remains, is our President going to attempt to make a run for the gold here in WCCW?

Michaels: Only time will tell, folks.

*scene shifts to the backstage area, and we’re following Jonathan Darkstar back to his office.  Jon walks in the door, to find his chair spun around and facing the windows*

Jonathan Darkstar:  What the hell?  I know I didn’t leave my chair like that.  *suddenly we hear a suspiciously familiar voice from the other side of the chair*

Voice:  That’s because I’m sitting in it, youngster. *the chair slowly swivels around and we see a man dressed to the nines in a $500 Armani suit, his face in shadows*

Jon:  You?  What are you doing here?

Voice:  I’m here to fix this.  Remember the old days, Jon?  You and your “family” would work in WCCW and I was the brains behind the scenes?  It’s time for that to happen again.  *tosses a form on the desk*  Effective immediately, I’m exercising my right as the other half of Southwest Sports, and am assuming control as Commissioner of WCCW.

Jon:  So when do we let the rest of them know that you’re back?

Voice:  Next episode of Nightmare.  Oh, and I’m making a change to the format to the Pagano Cup.  All will be revealed on the next Nightmare.
