Marc
Lowrance- Terry, I think that was planned a little.
Terry
Daniels- Could be, Marc.
[Suddenly,
“Iron Man” by Black Sabbath starts playing as WCCW
CEO Tom Gorgas walks out to the top of the ramp, mic in hand.]
Tom
Gorgas- Hold it just one goddamned minute! Don’t
know what you and New Tradition were
planning, Justin, but it ain’t working.
In fact, I got something better in mind.
I’m canceling tonight’s Main Event.
The Deadman and The Natural will just have to wait two weeks to
beat the
hell out of each other. I’m announcing
the Main Event for Death Toll, right now!
I just realized something. With
Dawes, Darkstar and Harris, we got three guys that just so happened to
work for
Steven Pagano when he ran the place.
Therefore, the Main Event for Death Toll will be:
Justin Dawes vs Terence Harris vs Jonathan
Darkstar in a 3-Way Dance. Winner
becomes the 2011 Pagano Cup Champion! *thunderous
roar from the crowd* And if you don’t
like that, Dawes, there’s the door, don’t let it hit you in the ass on
the way
out!
[Suddenly
all the house lights go out and the arena becomes
pitch black. The crowd cheers as the lights go down, and the sound of a
beating
heart is heard throughout the building.]
Terry Daniels: Uh-oh! This reminds me of Wrestle Bowl!
Marc Lowrance: Indeed. And it could only mean one thing.
[The heart beat stops as one word suddenly bursts onto the giant in red
lettering.]
[FURY]
[The crowd pops as the intro to 'Scum Of The Earth' of Rob Zombie
begins to
play over the arena PA and red and blue strobe lights begin to go off
in the
entrance area.]
Terry Daniels: Here we go!
[Chris Fury steps through the curtain and into the arena to an
uncharacteristic
applause from the audience who are giving the former WCCW and NWA World
Champion a standing ovation.]
Marc Lowrance: Ladies & gentleman, it has been six long months
since we
have seen this man here in WCCW! He is the 2010 WCCW Superstar of the
Year, had
the WCCW 2010 Match of the Year, and is a former Southwest, Texas, and
NWA
World Heavyweight Champion!
Terry Daniels: And as hated as he was, these fans seem pretty happy to
see this
world class superstar back home in WCCW, and quite honestly I am too!
[Fury slowly begins to make his way down the aisle towards the ring. He
is
wearing a pair of black jeans, black sneakers, and a black denim button
up vest
with random patches sewn onto it. His long black hair is dripping wet
and
pushed back, and he is sporting quite the large beard on his face.]
Marc Lowrance: For better or for worse, Fury looks like a completely
different
man. For the last couple years we've seen him walking around wearing
suits that
are worth more than my car, and now he looks like... well like this.
Terry Daniels: This and Wrestle Bowl a couple weeks ago, are also the
first
times in God knows how long, I've seen him come out here without his
associate,
Doctor Vincent Saddler at his side.
Marc Lowrance: Good point partner. Where ever Fury is, Saddler usually
isn't
far behind.
[Fury steps through the ropes and back into the WCCW ring for the first
time in
six months. As the fans continue to react in different ways, he puts
his hands
on his hips briefly and looks around throughout the arena while nodding
seemingly in approval. He walks over to the ropes and is handed a
microphone by
a ringside attendant. Chris walks to the center of the ring as a good
portion
of the fans are still going off. He smirks and puts one hand up, trying
to tell
them to quiet down a little, as his entrance music now fades out. He
lifts the
mic to his mouth and begins to speak.]
Chris Fury: Well.... long time no see! What the hell is up, O.K.C.?
[Cheap pop from the Oklahoma City crowd.]
Chris Fury: Ya know, it's been a while since I've been out here in a
WCCW ring.
Almost six months to the day to be exact. And it's been even longer
since I've
been in a WCCW ring and heard at least a few of you guys cheering me.
And at
this point, I honestly don't know why anyone would want to cheer me,
but I
gotta thank each and every one of you guys for your support.
[Fury pauses as a portion of the crowd gives him an applause.]
Chris Fury: Ever since I made my return at NWA's WrestleBowl a couple
weeks ago
I've been hounded with questions everywhere I go. People wanna know
where Chris
Fury has been, why he's been gone, why he came back, where's Doctor
Saddler,
and most of all why he decided to come back the way he did, in helping
his
sworn enemy Jason Jousma out...
Marc Lowrance: Damn right we want to know!
Chris Fury: Well I'm gonna set the record straight, and I'm gonna do it
right
now! The whole time I've been away I've heard a bunch of different
rumors as to
where I was. Everything from I suffered a career ending injury in my
match at
WreslteClassic, to stories that I threw a temper tantrum after losing
the NWA
World Heavyweight Title in my first defense of it at WrestleClassic,
and took
my ball and went home. The fact of the matter is though, every single
one of
the rumors I heard couldn't be further from the truth. In the weeks
leading up
to the point where I would finally receive my shot at the title, I had
been
doing alot of soul searching, and taking alot of looks in the mirror at
myself.
I was slowly starting to see the light, in that I had lost control of
myself
during the time I had spent with Doctor Vincent Saddler. I finally
started to
realize that I hadn't been myself, and I hadn't been in control of
myself. I
had proclaimed time and time again that the old Chris Fury had died,
and a new
man was reborn within... and I was right. Someway... somehow, Saddler
took
control of who I was and managed to bury it and lock it away deep
within the
confines of my soul, and replace the old me with a new dark, sadistic,
son of a
bitch, that he crafted and created in his likeness. I don't want to say
it was
brainwashing, because I was aware of what I was doing the whole time,
but I
couldn't control it. It's like I was a puppet and Saddler was the
puppeteer,
pulling my strings. I don't know what it is about that man, but he is
very
powerful and knows how to manipulate people in any way he wants. The
minute you
give into his bullshit and start to trust and believe him is when he
takes over
and turns you into his puppet. I guess the moral of the story is that
Doctor
Vincent Saddler is an evil bastard.
Terry Daniels: Yeah! You could say that again!
Chris Fury: Mind you, during the year and a half run I had while I was
aligned
with him I had more success than I did in the entire last ten years of
my
career, and went on to become the NWA World Heavyweight Champion, so I
have to
give credit where credit is due and thank him for that. But when I
finally
realized that dream it didn't feel like I expected it to. While I
filled that
void that I had been seeking to do for years, I gave up everything else
I had
in my life in the process and created a whole new void and feeling of
emptiness
in the process. In the end that really ended up messing with my head
and
throwing me off my game, and I ended up losing the title in my first
defense of
it. And then... then I was left with nothing. Sure, Saddler and his
seemingly
unlimited supply of funds have given me all the material things I could
ever
want and allowed me to live a five star life style. But what good is
any of
that when you're empty as hell inside and have literally no real
friends left
in the world?
Marc Lowrance: That's a good question...
Terry Daniels: Shhh! He's still talking!
Chris Fury: To make a long story short, I knew I had to get away, and
get my
old self back no matter the cost. I'll spare you the details of what
went on
next until another time, because believe it or not I didn't come out
here
tonight to talk about myself, or try to get pity points from you fans.
The
reason I came out here tonight was to do something that doesn't come
easy to
me, and something you've probably never seen Chris Fury do before, and
will
definitely do again... and that's apologize.
Terry Daniels: Wow!
Chris Fury: I really don't know where to begin, but the fact is the
past two
years I haven't been myself. Sure, I've never been the poster boy
'baby-face'
and probably never will be. I've always been a bit of a dick. But not...
[Fury briefly pauses.]
Chris Fury: When I look back at the footage of some of the things I did
while I
was under Saddler's control, it literally makes me sick to my stomach.
Sure, I
had great success in this very ring and I certainly don't regret any of
that...
but some of the shit I pulled went alot deeper and further than within
the
confines of these ropes.
[Chris once again pauses in the ring for a couple seconds and gathers
his
thoughts.]
Chris Fury: I'm gonna shoot straight from the hip here and get right to
it.
Terence Harris, I know you're sitting somewhere backstage, and I know
you're
watching this right now. I also know you're probably trying with every
fiber of
strength to hold yourself back from trying to kill me every time we're
in the
same building together. Brother... I don't know what else to say other
than I'm
sorry. I don't expect you to accept my apology or come out here or be
my friend
or any of that. I know either way you're probably gonna hate me
forever, and I
get it. I'm cool with that. But I just want to let you know bro that
I'm sorry.
That wasn't me...
[Fury gets a round of applause from the audience for his heartfelt
apology.]
Marc Lowrance: I don't believe it. The man actually does have a heart!
Terry Daniels: You heard him Marc! That wasn't him doing that stuff!
Saddler
had control of him.
Chris Fury: Now, I know this is a wrestling show and by now everybody
is
probably sick and tired of me going on about how sorry I am like an
episode of
Dawson's Creek, but I ain't finished yet.
Terry Daniels: Dawson's Creek? Is that show even on any more?
Marc Lowrance: I don't even know that that is.
Terry Daniels: I'm not sure if Fury does either...
Chris Fury: There's one thing that has been bothering me the most out
of all
the dirty deeds I pulled off with Saddler. One thing that I felt
uncomfortable
about doing even as I was doing it. One thing that was eating me up
inside to
the point that I think it's what made me see the light and break away
from
Saddler. There's one more man I have to apologize to, but I gotta do it
to his
face. Jay Jousma, get on down here champ.
Terry Daniels: Fury's calling out the champ!
Marc Lowrance: Yeah, to apologize to him...
[The camera shows a shot of the entrance area, waiting for Jousma to
come out,
but no sign of him. We see a shot of Fury back in the ring again.]
Chris Fury: Come on, Jay. I know you're back there...
[After a few more moments of nothing the silence in the arena is broken
as
'Justice' by Rev Theory kicks in over the arenas PA.]
Terry Daniels: Here we go!
[Jay begins to slowly walk down the aisle, WCCW Undisputed title draped
over
his shoulder, with his gaze cautiously fixed on the man standing in the
ring.
He slowly makes his way to the ring steps, and is handed a microphone.
He walks
to the center of the ring to face the man who just called him out
minutes ago.
A silence amongst both men emerges, as Jousma stares Fury down. The
crowd hangs
in suspense as Jay puts the microphone to his face and addresses the
man who
brought him out here tonight.]
Jay: You want to apologize… Apologize? Well… that’s great. You come out
of
nowhere, grace us all with your presence at Wrestlebowl, humiliate my
opponents
in my match, and now you want to apologize for the way you’ve treated
everyone
around here… Is that so?
Fury: Let’s be realistic. If it weren’t for me, Lake Storm would be
walking
around with that belt you have on your shoulder right now, and nobody
would’ve
been happy with that.
Marc Lowrance: Got that right.
Terry Daniels: Yeah, that whole camp of Lake, Justin, and William Dawes
is a
giant disappointment. I wish they’d just go away already, I’ve had
enough of
them half-assing everything that they have been a part of lately.
[Jay scoffs at Fury’s last remark and continues.]
Jay: I didn’t need your help, or anyone’s help to win this title right
here. We
all know I could take out all of those half-assed New Tradition douche
bags
blindfolded with one arm tied behind my back, while asleep. You want to
apologize to me, and to everyone else in the WCCW and the NWA for the
vicious
things you’ve done.
Fury: I-I wasn’t myself. Dr. Saddler-
Jay: Dr. Saddler was merely a vessel for you to convey your actions
through.
You broke my leg back in October. Did you think I would forget? You
cost me my
rematch for the NWA title against Snake Eyes! It’s your fault I was
taken out
of the spotlight to begin with. And now you’re back.
Whoopty-fricken-doo!
Marc Lowrance: We might see a meltdown here folks.
[Jay paces around back and forth for a second, microphone still in
hand.]
Jay: However, you seemingly come in peace, offering an apology… Well
Chris, I
don’t accept it.
[With that, Jousma drops the mic and delivers a walloping Superkick to
Chris
Fury out of nowhere, sending him crashing to the canvas, as a mixed
reaction
emits from the crowd. “Justice” comes on the PA as Jousma picks his
belt back
up and heads back down the entranceway.]
Terry Michaels: And a vicious Silvergun Superkick from Jousma sends
Fury
crashing to the mat. The fans don’t know quite what to think here, I
think
they’ve erupted in excitement more than anything else as things came to
a head
here.
Marc Lowrance: Wait a minute; I don’t think things are quite done here
yet .
[Back in the ring we see Fury pulling himself to his feet on the ropes,
shaking
out the cobwebs with a disconcerting look on his face. He picks the mic
up off
the ground and calls to Jousma who is standing at the entranceway.]
Fury: So that’s how it’s gonna be? That’s how you wanna do things?!?!
I’ll tell
ya what… let’s settle this thing between you and I, once and for all…
[The fans pop again, as this is getting interesting.]
Fury: Instead of coming out here and kicking me in the jaw out of
nowhere, why
don’t we do things fairly… You and I… at Death Toll… The match that has
been in
the making for over a decade. Chris Fury versus Jay Jousma, for the
WCCW
Undisputed Heavyweight Championship!
[Enormous pop from the Oklahoma City crowd. Cut back to Jousma as he is
shaking
his head no at the entrance ramp. He grabs a mic from backstage.]
Jay: So that’s all that this was about? You stuck your nose in my
business at
Wrestlebowl to weasel your way into a title shot? I knew you were going
to get
there sooner or later, so I decided I would try and shut you up early.
The
answer is no. Absolutely not Chris, go back to where you came from. The
WCCW
and the NWA could give a shit that you left. As far as it goes between
us; it’s
over, I want nothing to do with you, and you don’t deserve to be in the
same
ring with me anymore. I’m done, it’s done. I’ve gotten my shots in, you
wanted
to make peace, whatever. I don’t care anymore.
Fury: You’ve left me no choice but to call you out. Remember one thing
Jousma.
I was ‘the guy’ around here long before you were, then you had to come
back
here after years away to try and ‘save me’. Well maybe you did manage
to knock
some sense into me, and now it’s something that you can’t deal with.
Now that
we’ve got the ever-popular “Rising Star” backing out of challenges, I
guess
that makes him no better than Magnum Randell. I say I’m disappointed,
but I can’t
say I’m surprised. I knew you’d show your true colors sooner or later.
[Jousma’s eyes turn a shade of red that nobody thought would be
possible at
that last comment. As they almost begin to bulge out of his skull, he
fires
back immediately, and at the top of his lungs.]
Jay: TRUE COLORS!?!? ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!? THE POT IS CALLING THE
KETTLE BLACK
ONCE AGAIN! YOU’VE GOT YOUR MATCH AT DEATH TOLL! AFTER I’M DONE KICKING
YOUR
ASS THERE, I DON’T WANT TO SEE YOU AROUND HERE EVER AGAIN, AND NIETHER
DOES
ANYBODY ELSE, UNDERSTAND!?!?
[A smile comes across Fury’s face.]
Fury: So be it. I’ll see you in two weeks, champ. Enjoy it, that’s the
last
time anyone’ll be calling you that around here.
Terry Michaels: Ladies and Gentlemen do you believe it? I think these
two just
booked the main event for Death Toll!!!
Marc Lowrance: A match over a decade in the making. Jay Jousma versus
Chris
Fury, for the title! We’ll see you there folks!!!
[The WCCW logo flashes across the screen. The NWA logo flashes across
the screen.
Fade out.]
